Home: Redwood Valley-Humboldt County, California, & Sarasota, Florida

Even though it seems like I've never stayed anywhere for too long,
I did actually grow up somewhere, and I get back as much as I can.

I lived in Florida when I was a little kid, and moved to California
shortly before 8th grade- when I think of home, this is it...

A view of our backyard- you can see a small sauna, the duck pen, and to the left, our guesthouse. In the summertime all these trees are bursting with leaves, but in the winter they have a different kind of beauty.
The next three photos are a couple views from our deck, looking across Redwood Valley to the unnamed mountain across the way. At the bottom of the valley Redwood Creek flows through, a torrent in the winter, and a stream in the summer.
These three photos are from the Fourth of July, 2003. It's not that these are especially significant, or really representative of home, but I thought they turned out really nicely.
Julian, my stepbrother. He's 12 years younger than I am, and already as tall as me.

Kona, the family dog, who we got a few years ago when our previous dog September died after almost 15 years.
Another view of Redwood Valley, from the top of the road.
The older of my two younger half-sisters, Hannah. When I took this picture, she was in Sixth grade.
Hannah with Olivia, my other half-sister...
Olivia, who was nine years old when this was taken.
My Dad... You know, it's funny, but we don't look a bit alike.
