Valery,
making proper use of the cardboard cornucopia. |

Brian
was ready to get the party started. |
Adam
had the hat right, but the holiday wrong... Merry Thanksgiving?
|
|
| |
Nelson,
Judith and the family came down for the celebration, complete
with their adopted... never mind, it's Beatitude. |
They
look a bit more like Nelson and Judith, I think. |

Moussa,
keeping himself entertained while we wait for everything
to be ready... |
Somebody
thought it'd be a good idea to try armwrestling, leading
to the title fight, the Meghan/Didier grudge match. |

And
the undercard, Adam and Brian. |
|

be both a Thanksgiving and a goodbye party, as the trainees
were leaving Darda the next day. As a small thank you, the
Darda staff bought sodas for everyone. |

The
mechoui, ready to go. |
| Nobody
had any idea where he could have found it, but monsieur
Michel surprised us all with the bowtie and vest combo,
and brought as much glamour as possible to carving up a
giant roasted sheep. |

Making
short work of the mechoui.
|
| Because
it was both a Chadian (the goodbye party) and American celebration
(Thanksgiving), we had the whole spectrum of foods, from
mechoui and red sorghum boule, to beef
kebabs, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and apple pie. |
