Photo Gallery #55- More PST Scenes
Not
all of PST was work- it was also a chance to relax in Darda,
and for the Trainees to spend a little more time together
before being sent out to their new homes...

One
of the big hits of this year's PST was boule
(not the food), a French game where you try to toss
a heavy metal ball as close as possible to another small
ball in the center, knocking others' out of the way
at the same time. I'm not sure, but I think this may
also be the game they call 'Bocci Ball' in the States.
|
Of
course, in Chad you have to improvise a bit. Who needs
metal balls when you can use round Chadian cucumbers? |

Rhiannon
gets into the game. |
| The
other big hit was volleyball, which our group played,
but nowhere near as religiously as the new PCT's. Every
afternoon the war began, with staff vs. trainees. |

Another
amazing save. |

an amazing miss, courtesy of Ben-Djo. |

And
one more, for good measure. |
| Moussa
(Dokati) decided to sit this one out. |

|
One
evening the game was interrupted, thanks to a spectator
on the court.
|
| It
wasn't all games though- practical stuff was an essential
part of PST too, like haircutting 101. |

Sarah
seems to be doing an OK job on Sam. |

posing for photos. Here, Rhiannon, Sarah, and Sam practice
their best 'Calvin Klein' pissed-off look. |

And
a slightly more normal photo: Chewy, Rhiannon, Brian,
