Photo Gallery #52- Dakassia
Marc
and Valaddi's youngest (for the moment) is 1.5-year-old Dakassia-
she's just recently learned to walk, and takes advantage of
it, visiting me
constantly. Not that I mind, or anything- she's too cute for
me to be bothered.

I
was sitting working one afternoon, when I heard my farfar
(the twig curtain in the background) rustle. I looked
up, and discovered I had a visitor.
|
|
|
|
Standard
Chadian hospitality is to offer a place to sit, water, and
something to eat- I obliged. |
| A
plastic cup of water and some peanuts- nothing special,
but if you haven't turned two, how picky can you possibly
be? |
|
|
|
My
visitor enjoyed the hospitality, then settled down for
a nap. |
| When
she woke up two hours later, the snack was still there. |
|
| |
|
| The
next day, she came back, but she seemed a little more
suspicious this time. |
|
| |
Perhaps
she was scared- it's not every day you see white people
around here. |
| Or,
maybe she just didn't feel like talking. |
|
|
Hophyra
showed up a little while later, and uncovered her sister. |
| The
simplest things can become toys... |
|
|
|
| If
I'd caught this one second earlier, she'd still be in
the bowl. |
|
|
If
you can't stand in the bowl, have the bowl stand on you... |
| |
|
|
And
she marched off, staggering- balance is a delicate thing
when you're just learning. |
| Playing
with the ducklings... |
